Having had a mate's SuperSport on long term loan, it is now time to buy a gun of my own.

In fact it had been time for a long time - reason being I've been agonising over whether to go pcp or stay springer.

I had a loan of an S410 and a stirrup pump couple of years ago and was seriously impressed with the gun, less so with the pumping.

Now being a disorganised sort of chap, I just know that maintaining a tank and all that gubbins is going to be a faff; instinct is telling me that spring power will suit me better in the long term, although I'm also mindful of the silence and ease of sitting in the dark popping off rats with minimum effort with a pcp.

In short, I'm 80% there on committing to an HW97KT. If I had the funds I'd have an Ultra as well. But I don't and anyway, I don't like the idea of having a mistress as well as a wife.

What do you guys think?

I have had a 97kt since last Saturday week and say do it ,do it .I also have a supersport and its a different level of wow ,the 97 is heaver than the super but the lack of recoil and Twang is a revelation .The 97kt sits like a glove in the hand and the adjustable butt helps too ,got mine as a package from Redbeck including Hawke scope ,padded rifle bag ,Air arms pellets and even a box of targets.

The great thing was using it for half an hour on their range before purchase so i knew it was cock on target and it was a nice bunch to deal with.

You know you want sir,you know you need it sir go on sir go on do it sir ,suits you sir

Good choice mate. You will not be disappointed.

Do consider though the thumb hole against the sporter stock... I completely agree perhaps the KT looks a 'bit more gun', but I found the sporter stock a more natural shooting extension... I didn't get on with the shape of the KT and so swapped it for the 77 sporter stock. The thumb hole shape encouraged me to perhaps hold the gun a tad to much, rather than support it as I do with the sporter woodwork.

It may not be the same for you of course... but food for thought.

Sorry for " upsetting the party" :whistling:

The TX 200 HC mk3 is by far the best, modern springer, - out of the box, or tuned.

In my opinion

How many world HFT championships has it won now ?

How many has the HW 97 won ?

atb Mark.

p.s. photo primed and ready if you lot start :boogy:
